Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server

Quick Summary: GAAPx provides a first-class remote Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. AI coding assistants and agents (like Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Antigravity) can directly query live trial balances, inspect ASC 606 revenue schedules, search contract terms, and run automated accounting compliance checks.


Authentication & API Keys​

To connect any MCP client:

  1. Open the GAAPx Admin Console.
  2. Under Generate an API key, select your permissions (Full Access or Read-Only).
  3. Copy your generated token (prefixed with gx_live_...).

Connection Configuration​

Add the following to your claude_desktop_config.json:

  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
  • Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json

Live MCP Tools Reference​

1. get_ledger_summary​

Fetches trial balance totals, active journal entries, or Note 6 disclosure schedules.

2. get_revenue_waterfall​

Retrieves ASC 606 revenue recognition waterfalls, deferred balances, and unrecognized contract values.

3. search_contracts​

Searches Master Service Agreements (MSAs), order forms, and amendments by customer name, dates, or terms.

4. check_asc606_compliance​

Runs automated AI validation across revenue allocations, standalone selling prices (SSP), and contract modifications.
